7 Ways To Create A Romantic Bedroom For Valentines Day

Heart

Valentines day will soon be upon us so what better way than to treat a loved one then creating a perfect romantic bedroom setting.
1. Let lighting set the mood. Dim your lights, or if you haven’t got a dimmer switch, use soft table lamps instead of your main lights.

2. Use candles to create a soft, romantic mood. Scented candles will also make the room fragrant, but be careful to use a romantic , relaxing scent rather than a fresh, uplifting scent. Dark Noir by Kylie Minogue is my personal romantic favourite.

3. Make the bed the focal point. Get new bedding. Duvet covers in a silky satin material or something a bit more blingy like a diamante set. For ultimate luxury, get 1000 thread count duvet covers and sheets made from 100% cotton. They will be silky soft and feel great against your skin. You can lay red rose petals on the bed, either loosely scattered or make a heart shape out of them. Romantic red is also the colour for Valentines day.Love diamante duvet cover

4. Don’t forget music. Romantic songs work the best – obviously. Use tracks that bring back memories, maybe memories of something that you did together, or a special place that you visited. You can also use tracks that describe your Valentine, or how you feel about him or her.

5. Tidy the room. A tidy, uncluttered room will be far more welcoming then a messy, overfull bedroom that still needs a clean! A fresh vase of flowers will also make your bedroom look fresh and colourful.

6. Do not disturb! Try to ensure the special night is just about you two. Make sure you are not disturbed and your focus is just on each others. If you’ve got kids, see if you can get a grandparent or a baby sitter to take them off your hands for the night. Leave your work thoughts and to do lists elsewhere.

7. Switch off all technology. You don’t want any distractions – switch off the television, the iPad, and the mobile. You can live without them for an evening.

Finally, have a night to remember.Heart
